I've done both, gotten the photos and not gotten the photos - and I see many families that have and haven't as well.

I see the realness of families as "Perfectly Imperfect"
I feel like it really sums it up well. We are all trying to get through the day and when you have a new baby it can be especially hard to navigate the feelings of having all the things to do. Do you cuddle and rest with your baby for some quality time and skin on skin which is so beneficial, or do you do the dishes? Pick the baby every time!
That's how it is sometimes and it's ok! The laundry can wait. The dishes can wait. And that's the beauty of beig perfectly imperfect. We're not perfect. Leaving dishes and laundry isn't the definition of perfect. But it is the definition of being perfectly imperfect when you have a new baby.

I don't know about you, but for me, the last thing I want to do after having a baby and trying to adjust to life with a newborn - is to get dressed up and take this baby to an unknown place PRAYING I don't forget something we need.

This is especially nice if you have older kiddos that you want to be included in theses photos. When you are at home, we can get them included in the photos and when they get antsy or need a break, they are at home so they can simply leave the room to go find a snack or play with their toys.
